The Institute for Transfusion Medicine of North Macedonia informs that it has produced 75 units of convalescent plasma to be used for treating patients infected with COVID-19.
The call for additional and continuous donation of plasma is still ongoing and this institution is available all the time for anyone who wishes to donate.
The person who wishes to donate convalescent plasma should provide a laboratory confirmation of previous COVID-19 infection; to have two negative tests, both taken within a 24 hour period; also and absence of symptoms in the last, at minimum, 21 days, after which an additional test (third) had been made in order to determine the potential presence of a virus.
