Zoran Bozinovski extradited back to Macedonia last night

Journalist and owner of the portal “Burevesnik”, Zoran Bozinovski, was arrested yesterday in Novi Sad last night, and around 21:30 was extradited to Macedonia, the Ministry of Interior (MOI) confirmed for “Meta”.

“The procedure was completed last night around 21:30. It was implemented by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Interior was informed of the procedure”, the Interior of Mnstry told our journalists.

Unofficially, Bozinovski was transferred to the County Jail in Skopje Suto Orizari, and further proceedings against him will be implemented by the Ministry of Justice.

Bozinovski was arrested yesterday in Novi Sad as the Serbian Ministry of Justice had a warrant for his arrest from November 2013 as he was a suspect in the “Spijun” (Spy) case.

This is the second time Bozinovski has been arrested in Serbia, where he has been residing for the past few days. He was first arrested in November 2013 in Novi Sad, after a warrant was released through Interpol and spent more than a year in detention awaiting extradition, he was then released on bail by the Serbian Appellate Court.
