The SEC rejects SDSM’s last complaint

With four votes “for” and four “against” and one neutral, the SEC rejected SDSM’s complaint concerning polling station 2.011 in Tearce, in Constituency 6. DUI’s representative in the SEC, Subhi Jakupi didn’t vote for and he previously stated that the experts should decide about the last complaint and excused himself from the voting.

According to the Election Code, the SEC’s decision is considered to be final, if it was voted by the majority of the Commission’s members.

SDSM’s complaint referred to the fact that at this polling station, at the start of the voting it was noticed that a ballot was missing, and at the end of the vote count, the ballot was found in the voting box.

The Coalition led by SDSM filed 8 complaints during the election process, but yesterday before the start of the session, two complaints were withdrawn. The other 5 complaints of the Coalition led by SDSM were rejected.

In the past few days, SEC accepted only one complaint filed by Besa movement and annulled the votes from the polling station in Gostivar.
