MoI has suspended 17 employees because of the violence that occurred at the Parliament

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has started an investigation and has temporarily suspended 17 employees because of the outburst of violence at the Parliament, announced today MoI.

“The Department for inner control, criminal investigations and professional standards at the Ministry of Internal Affairs has begun a disciplinary procedure against 11 police officers and against 4 members of the Unit for Quick Deployment and has served decisions for temporary suspension while one high-ranking officer at the Ministry was served a decision for a temporary suspension as well” said the announcement.

MoI also states that according to the evidence material the suspended police officers didn’t react at all when the mob tried to enter the Parliament, nor did they take any measures to prevent the movement of the mob through the Parliament
