Big international archaeological conference organized by HAEMUS

On 13th and 14th of March (Friday and Saturday) in Skopje, organized by HAEMUS Center for scientific research and promotion of culture, will be held a major international archaeological conference “Settlements, culture and population dynamics in Balkan prehistory”, dedicated to the prehistory.

It will be attended by more than a hundred archaeologists from 20 countries, making it the biggest archaeological conference that ever happened in the Republic of Macedonia.

Most participants come from Croatian conservative center (Zagreb); Archaeological Institute (Zagreb); Archaeological Institute (SANU – Belgrade); Archaeological Institute (Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia), University College of London; several museums in Romania etc. The prestige and importance of this conference confirms the presence of some of the most important names in the field of prehistoric archeology in Europe.

Conference includes presentations from archaeologists, exhibition with posters and several events. Partners of the conference are the Museum of the City of Skopje and the International Organization for outdoor museums and experimental archeology (EXARC).

The official language of the conference is English, and the whole event is done under the motto of UNESCO, “Open Educational Resources “, that are also the main partner.

After the conference, scientific articles will be published in a special monograph in the edition of “Archeopress”, prestigious publishing house of Oxford, specializing only for publishing scientific archaeological literature.
