Brussels confirms: There will be a leaders’ meeting, however when and where is yet to be confirmed

The European Commission has not confirmed whether political leaders on Friday in Vienna will meet with the three MEPs Ivo Vajgl, Eduard Kukan and Richard Howitt and EU Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn.

“We can not confirm the meeting, but of course Commissioner Hahn is in constant contact with political leaders in the country, MEPs, the EU Delegation and with key partners such as the US, to discuss ways to resolve the crisis and to ensure that leaders will continue to implement the Przhino Agreement and priority reforms”, said Kocijancic.

However, the spokeswoman for Hahn did not exclude the possibility of the meeting.

“Exactly when and where the meeting will be held is yet to be confirmed. Commissioner Hahn is ready to immediately meet with leaders. They must demonstrate willingness to return the country to the Euro-Atlantic path”, said Kocijanchic.
