Zahir Beqiri, known to the public as Chaush, received a two and a half year sentence for forging documents, while his brother Imer Beqiri received a sentence a one year sentence in prison, was today’s ruling by the Basic Court Skopje 1.
For the criminal charges of manufacturing and supplying arms, the two men were acquitted.
Brothers Zahir and Imer Beqiri were both accused of forging identity cards, passports, and manufacturing and supplying of weapons.
The case is known to the public as “Affair Factory” caused quite a stir in the political arena.
Imer Beqiri had his jail time cancelled while his brother Zahir Beqiri instead being released with his brother will return to prison and serve his old sentence of one month.
