Zaev: We cannot allow not to have a Parliament during the ratification of country’s NATO accession protocol

-

Prime Zoran Zaev thinks that the 12th of April as a date for holding the early parliamentary elections should be kept but he allows for any kind of changes because of the ratification of the country’s NATO accession protocol.

-All 29 countries have ratified the Protocol and when the time arrives for Republic of Macedonia to ratify it we cannot allow having an inactive Parliament – said Zaev.

During the meeting with journalists, the Parliament’s President, Talat Xhaferi informed that the Parliament will dissolve 60 days before the elections on the 12th of April i.e. on the 11th of February.

Regarding the NATO accession protocol, Xhaferri said that when the parliament dissolved there will not be any possibility to be summoned back. For the Protocol to be ratified a new parliamentаry line-up will have to be awaited.
