“Good evening my Macedonia. Good evening winners. What happened today in Macedonia will be written in the history books. Dear citizens, currently the opposition led by SDSM together with the people has won this election by one seat more. We are awaiting the official results, but we won with one more seat. However dear citizens, rejoice, celebrate life. The regime has fallen. Let the whole world understand, Macedonia has written world history, the regime fell by the pen, and by the vote. Be happy and proud. You will have what to tell your children and grandchildren. I am proud of you. Macedonia is a blessed country. The regime has fallen, and life won. We showed that with patience and dedication that Macedonia will be advanced country, free, unique and an united country. Here before this Government I bow before you, because Macedonia has you, and you fought”, said Zaev.
A few hours ago, opposition supporters from the party headquarters poured out o to the street in front of the Government building in celebration. Stevo Pendarovski was among the crowds, the candidate from SDSM from Constituency 1, the apparent winner of Constituency 1, who received a massive welcome from citizens.
