Zaev: The Law on Languages should be passed this week

-

This week, the Law on Languages should be adopted, said Prime Minister Zoran Zaev on Tuesday, while answering a journalist’s question at a press conference with BiH Chairman of the Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdić.

“You know that the debate has been ongoing for 9 months, and for me the issue of the Law on the Use of Languages is closed and it needs to be adopted as soon as possible. Before, such laws were passed at the end of the parliamentary elections, before the election of the government. Now it’s different, the debate has been open for nine months. Everyone has said everything they had to say. This is a constitutional right that has not been implemented. We have to let it be realized, let it have its own implementation, and we will all see that it is not something that is difficult or painful, but it will help us all to better understand each other. The government is stable and the majority in Parliament is growing and growing. Here, it is still being discussed, but this week the Law on Languages should be passed”, said Zaev.
