Nikola Gruevski and VMRO-DPMNE do not want a free media. They need the media to be dependent and control the media to control the citizens, this is Nikola Gruevski’s goal. Because, lies from the pro-government media have been paid for, with millions of euros, money which belongs to the people, said Zoran Zaev leader of SDSM at a press conference in Strumica.
“The fear Nikola Gruevski and VMRO-DPMNE have, is the fear of the truth. They fear the catastrophic reality when citizens finally learn the truth. It is clear to every citizen, that without proper regulation of the media and without a cleansed electoral roll there can not be fair and democratic elections. An independent and free media are key objectives of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia. Therefore, with a change of Government, SDSM will guarantee freedom for journalists to investigate and report on any developments in the country, and they’ll be protected from any type of pressure”, said Zaev.
He stressed that SDSM will ensure respect for the journalistic profession and will have the freedom of expressing different views.
