Opposition leader Zoran Zaev, along with SDSM Secretary General Oliver Spasovski, and the Mayor of Kumanovo Zoran Damjanovski, visited houses in Divo naselje where fighting raged between the police and the terrorist group this weekend.
SDSM leader was welcomed with cheers, and the people greeted him with applause.
Zaev said he came to visit the place where the trauma occurred this weekend and recommended it to never again repeat. According to him, police forces professionally carried out their work and were extremely careful with the people.
When asked about the conclusions of the Security Council, Zaev said that was not told anything more than that it is communicated to the public. He said that “one thing was lied about during the Council”, but did not want to share it with the public.
– According to conveyed information, the police was monitoring the group for eight months and had information about it. The competent could have acted differently and prevent this scenario. President was not informed of the seriousness of the action and therefore went to Moscow. I didn’t receive an answer to the questions I have asked, except that MOI will announce it – Zaev said.
Zaev said he would continue with the “bombs” and that the party organs will sit tonight and will adopt the strategy for their announcements. The whole preparation for the gathering on Sunday runs smoothly and everything about his strategy will be known until tomorrow. He accused that the whole situation in the country was exploited for someone to enter the country and make an incident, and the government was busy staying in power and didn’t prevent it, but it could have been prevented.
He demanded the resignations of officials and forming a transitional government that aims to organize elections.
