Zaev: Gruevski’s proposal for just 20 MP’s from the Diaspora is unacceptable

-

Zoran Zaev, the leader of SDSM, finds the proposal by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski for the Diaspora to elect 20 MP’s unacceptable.

“The equal right to vote, or the equality of all voters everywhere is one option that was on offer. If we have 8,200 voters for a MP in Europe, there will be an MP, if it happened in Australia and America, and there will be a MP. But we will not allow a MP to be elected with 800 or 500 votes, when in Macedonia a MP needs 7,800 – 8,500 votes. Or, another option is to bring all voting material from the Diaspora to Macedonia”, said Zaev.

Zaev expected to be respect the deadlines for negotiation and the regulation of the media.

“I expect that by mid-November citizens will start to recognize the first reforms, firstly in MRTV (Macedonian National Television and Radio) but in all other TV stations with national coverage, particularly to those in everlasting power and virtually preoccupy our entire nation with politics so unattractive even more so than the headquarters of our political opponent”, said Zaev.
