Zaev meets Žbogar: We are fully committed to forming a pro-reform Government in Macedonia

-

This afternoon, the leader of SDSM, Zoran Zaev met with the EU Ambassador to Macedonia Samuel Žbogar, where they discussed the process of forming a new parliamentary majority to form a new government in Macedonia.

Zaev told Žbogar that he had submitted the 67 signatures to President Gjorge Ivanov and he expected to be awarded the mandate to form a new government as soon as possible.

The SDSM leader stressed that he is fully committed to the formation of a new pro-reform government, whose priority will be the economy and the European agenda.

“Urgent priority reforms are needed in the country, and according to the Priebe report and the European Commission, it is needed to ensure the quality of life of the citizens and the stable Euro-Atlantic integration of Macedonia. We are ready to work on meeting these goals exclusively for the interest and the needs of the citizens who voted in large numbers for change in the early elections”, stated Zaev.

SDSM announced that at the meeting, the need for maturity was emphasized between all the political parties and institutions for a swift and peaceful transfer of power, which will allow the ongoing democratic process in Macedonia.
