Zaev meets with Hahn and Stoltenberg: It’s time to direct our efforts towards the reforms

Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, together with the Vice Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Kocho Angjushev and the Minister of Economy, Kreshnik Bekteshi, at the World Economy Forum at Davos, Switzerland met with the EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn and the NATO’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

The government informs that at the meeting with Hahn it was concluded that the implementation of the historical Prespa Agreement is going according to the plan and that it is time to focus all the efforts to boosting the  implementation of the reforms in order to open space for the start of the negotiations for an EU accession.

“During the meeting with NATO’s General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg, once again the message of support and encouragement to finish the implementation of the Prespa Agreement was reiterated. Also, the expectation of the start of the ratification of the membership protocol was stressed. Prime Minister Zaev pointed out that our country is ready for this important act, as one of two Macedonia’s top priorities regarding international politics in the 2019” states government’s press release regarding the Davos meetings.
