Zaev: I live and breathe for fair and democratic elections

All people who are currently in custody should be released, said SDSM leader Zoran Zaev at today’s debate on free civil society and social justice, which was held at the “Holiday Inn” in Skopje.

He asked why petty criminals were in jail while suspects of organized crime are still at large. According to him, the decisions of the Criminal Court relating to suspects in the case “Titanic” proves that the Courts selectively use the measure of ‘detainment’.

He once again sent out the message that the next elections that will take place in Macedonia have to be fair and democratic.

“In Macedonia there must be fair and democratic elections, that’s what I live and breathe for. I do not know where they’ll call me for a meeting tomorrow, but today I am here and I have heard a lot of useful things. Just political parties or just NGOs are not capable of fighting this battle, we need to do it together”, stated Zaev.
