If we do go ahead with parliamentary elections together with the local elections, we will win more seats, but President Ivanov, again under Gruevski’s command, will not award us the mandate to form a government, said the leader of SDSM, Zoran Zaev in an interview for “Kanal 5” where he called on Gruevski for a televised duel, to talk openly on all issues.
“If a president is not appointed tomorrow, there will be a session the day after tomorrow, that is how democracy works. If a session needs to last late, it will last late into the night. I want to send out the message that they should stop with the manipulation. We need VMRO-DPMNE to implement reforms, that is why we need to cooperate. We don’t want to think of other solutions, it is bad practice for Macedonia”, said Zaev.
As for DUI candidate, Talat Xhaferi for president of Parliament, Zaev believes he is one of the most serious candidates because he possesses the most experience.
The leader of SDSM stressed that he had not negotiated the Platform because he had not received the mandate to form a government. He added that he had promoted government programs and SDSM does not believe in any other platforms and declarations.
