Zaev finally appears at the court hearing for the “Putsch” case

SDSM leader Zoran Zaev, today appeared at the hearing of the case “Putsch” after several previous hearings were postponed because he kept not appearing for the case.

At today’s hearing a Prosecutor from the Special Prosecution is expected to appear, as Katica Janeva’s team decided that this case is under their jurisdiction.

At the last hearing, Judge Ljubinka Baseska threatened to issue a warrant for Zoran Zaev’s arrest and have police guards bring him to court today if hh did not appear in the courtroom.
SDSM then said Zaev will come to trial when the case will be over-taken by the Special Prosecutor.

According to the charges of “Putsch” case, Zoran Verushevski is the first person convicted for unauthorized wire-tapping and audio recording, espionage and violence against representatives of the highest state of authority. Georgi Lazarevski is the second defendant, who also stands trial for unauthorized wire-tapping and espionage. The third defendant is Sonja Verushevski for the crime of espionage. SDSM leader Zoran Zaev is the fourth defendant in the case for violence against representatives of the highest state of authority. The fifth defendant is Branko Palifrov and he also is being charged for the same offence and Zaev.
