Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and the US Ambassador Jess Baily had talks today about the implemented local elections, about commenced reforms and security challenges.
“The Ambassador congratulated the country on the successful election process and recommended that the state institutions should implement the recommendations issued by OSCE/ODHIR” said the government’s press release.
During the meeting, Baily has stressed that now is a good time and that all conditions are met for the Government to concentrate more intensively on the announced and began reformatory processes, especially on the part of the rule of law and the fight against organized crime and corruption on a national and local level.
The US Ambassador stressed that Washington is ready to support its partners in facing global threats and the strengthening of capacities of state institutions, such as the National Committee for Prevention of violent extremism and fighting terrorism.
