During today’s meeting, the Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and U.S. Department of State Deputy Assistant Secretary and Special Representative for the Western Balkans the Assistant Matthew Palmer, the US Ambassador Cate Marry Burns, have agreed that
“the country’s determination for the Euro-Atlantic processes remains unchanged and that the North Macedonia and the US share the optimism that these will be successfully finished”, informs the Government.
Zaev has expressed his gratitude for the ratification of North Macedonia’s NATO accession protocol at the US Senate and during the meeting, both sides have stated that North Macedonia and the US are successfully maintaining the established strategic partnership in the interest of both countries’ citizens. This includes the achievement of joint goals for achieving democratic prosperity in the region and joint goals towards fighting terrorism and extreme violence” states the Government’s press release.
