The continuation of the session for dismissal of Marko Zvrlevski as a public prosecutor will be set for tomorrow, announced today the president of the Parliament, Talat Xhaferri during the press conference when he was reporting about his 100 days since his mandate began.
-According to the Rulebook, when the Commission for financing and budget is having a session, there cannot be a plenary session because the sessions of the Commission will be broadcasted on the parliamentary tv channel. As soon as the 10 days of debate regarding the rebalance of the budget are over, and in this case, it ends tomorrow, there can be a plenary session and then a work can be done on late sessions. I will call for a session for Zvrlevski’s dismissal even though Friday is a day for meetings between citizens and MPs. That means, if necessary, I will call for a session on Saturday and Sunday – said Xhaferri.
When asked whether he will do the opening speech and open the celebration of Ilinden on 2nd of August in Krusevo, Xhaferri said that there is a system of rotation and that this year it will be the president of the Parliament’s turn.
Regarding the violent attack on the Parliament on the 27th of April by a mob of citizens, Xhaferri said that he was summoned by the Prosecution both as a witness and as a victim, but since the investigation is still in progress, he didn’t want to provide more details.
During the press conference, Xhaferri firstly spoke in Albanian and then in Macedonian, and when asked whether that is a provocation he said that he has a constitutional right to address in two languages and that it is inappropriate to be treated as a provocation. Regarding the Law for the use of languages, Xhaferri said that it will be better to wait for the 100 days since new government began working.
