The vaccination of the health workers that are working in the COVID-19 centers in North Macedonia will start on Wednesday, in the modular ward of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases in Skopje, informs the Health Ministry of North Macedonia. This will also be the official start of the vaccination against COVID-19 in the country, which will continue when the next batch of the announced vaccine deliveries arrives.

“The vaccination will start at 10 o’clock, and the first to receive the vaccine will be the personnel of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases. The vaccination station at the modular hospital will be working in two shifts from 8 am until 8 pm, and the vaccination schedule will be in every 10 minutes,” informs the ministry.

Every health worker that will be vaccinated in the modular hospital will have a second dose reserved for the re-vaccination.

These are the vaccines that our country received as a donation from the Republic of Serbia. Since for real protection against SARS-Cov-2 to be achieved a single person has to receive two doses at intervals, with the received 4.680 doses of the Pfizer vaccines, 2.340 health workers will be vaccinated. Because of that, with this shipment, the immunization will be implemented only at the modular COVID hospital in Skopje.
