We and Serbia withdrew one diplomat each to resolve the crisis with the relations between our countries, said Zaev

We resolved the diplomatic crisis between Macedonia and Serbia in a friendly manner: Serbia have withdrew their man, we have returned our man, said Prime Minister Zoran Zaev after jis meeting with Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Brnabić.

Responding to a journalist’s question, he said that not only did Serbia withdraw intelligence officer Goran Živalejević from the embassy, but also Macedonia pulled out their own man from it embassy in Belgrade.

“In a very friendly, diplomatic way, we found a solution to what happened in Macedonia, related to the man employed in the Serbian Embassy in Macedonia. We made a bilateral agreement: Serbia has withdrawn its man, and we have returned our man. That’s what friends do. President Vučić and I had a conversation then, we directly defined what was happening with the embassy, and we found a solution that resembles friendship”, said Zaev.

He added that between the two governments, and at a higher presidential level, it was agreed on each issue, painfully or positively, that both parties should talk and agree on the phone.
