He who wants to hide something talks in codes

-

“People talk in codes when they have something to hide,” says university professor Vladimir Pivovarov for META on the communication of the Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, who talks to his Minister of Transport and Communications Mile Janakieski with “vague” sentences, which can be heard on one of the last recordings released by opposition leader Zoran Zaev on Sunday.

Professor Pivovarov has no doubt that the answer to the question why would the Prime Minister talk in “codes”, as he says in this part of the conversation, arises from the context of the conversation, in which the subject is a land on Vodno.

– This is what is plausible in the conversation and indicates that it is a matter of something illegal and does not want anyone else to hear. However, despite all efforts, we understood the context of the conversation – says Pivovarov.

On this issue, we asked the opinions of several interlocutors, but not everyone wanted to comment on the form in which Prime Minister gives guidelines and duties to his minister.

– I would not like to comment on the recordings. I do not want to comment – said MP and former Minister of the Interior Pavle Trajanov.

Former president of the Anti-Corruption Agency Sladjana Taseva was also not in a mood to comment, who only said: “I do not know how it would be commented. I cannot say anything. I have not had direct communication with the Prime Minister to know if it is something normal.”

On the other hand, the Dean of the Faculty of Law at FON University, who is also a former JNA officer, Temelko Risteski, said the cause of the “encrypted” dictionary of Prime Minister lies in the topic of the conversation.

– He is afraid from the topic of the conversation. All of us think about that someone is tapping us, especially in this situation, when it is revealed that more than 20,000 people were tapped, especially one for whom there are grounds for suspicion that worked and was involved in such a thing. I do not blame him because he is behind the wiretapping, but there is reasonable doubt about it. That is why he talks in “codes”, because he knows what could happen and that someone can be tapping the conversation – said Professor Risteski.

Restraint and “vague” expression of thoughts can be sensed in some of the recordings that were previously announced by the opposition, but in this particular conversation, the encrypted form is obvious.

In addition, as part of the media reported, citing sources from the investigation of the case “Puch”, members of family Verushevski also communicated with encrypted messages. Instead of letters, they used numbers written in some order, and the key to decrypt the contents was broken by experts of MOI.
