VMRO-DPMNE with two congresses, Mickoski in November and the Initiative for Changes in March

-

The several month-long disagreements between the current leadership by Hristijan Mickoski and the Initiative Board for Convening an Extraordinary Congress of VMRO-DPMNE, has resulted in two different dates and two different congresses. Afterthe Initiative board scheduled the party’s congress on the 28th of March, yesterday evening VMRO-DPMNE’s Central Committee rejected this initiative and decided for the party’s regular congress to take place in November.

The Initial board for convening the congress reacted to leadership’s decision stressing that President Hristijan Mickoski is trying to avoid facing the delegates that elected him at the 16th Congress, by scheduling a regular congress in November.

“Hristijan Mickoski has no capacity and doesn’t enjoy any trust among members of the party and a lot less among neutral citizens. Hristijan Mickoski will cause another defeat for VMRO-DPMNE at the forthcoming local elections just as he did at the parliamentary and presidential elections,” said the Initial Board.
