VMRO-DPMNE: The Prespa Agreement is politically and legally dead

-

Even though over one million and 200 thousand citizens have said no to changing the name of the country, Zaev doesn’t want to quit, and is directly violating the will of the people, said VMRO-DPMNE’s press reaction to Prime Minister Zoran Zaev’s statement.

“During this phase, the agreement is only a legal matter and as such, it should be looked upon through the prism of the legislation, the laws, and the Constitution. According to the law, the Prespa Agreement is legally and politically dead. That is what SEC has said and that is what the Constitution says. Going in the opposite direction is a misuse of power. Instead, Zoran Zaev is violently pushing forward the implementation of an agreement that was rejected by the citizens and should resign as he promised to do, but not only because of the damaging agreement he has concluded but also because of the ruined economy, the ruined healthcare and the disgraced education system” said VMRO-DPMNE’s reaction.
