A total of 46 complaints regarding the procedure for voting, tabulating and determining the results of the local elections, which took place on Sunday, October 15,th were submitted to the State Election Commission.
Most complaints – 43, were submitted by the opposition VMRO-DPMNE, and one complaint was submitted by TMRO, the Alliance for the Albanians and the Levica Party.
The deadline for submitting complaints concerning the voting procedure expired yesterday at 19:00, and the deadline for the procedure for tabulating and determining the results of the vote expired last night at 2:00 am.
Today, the president of the SEC, Aleksandar Chichakovski is expected to schedule a session to discuss the complaints from the elections.
The SEC is obliged to decide upon the candidates’ complaints about the procedure for voting, tabulating and determining the voting results, within 48 hours after receiving the complaints.
