VMRO DPMNE: SPO’s requests for custody and taking away the passports are a political showdown

-

VMRO DPMNE had two press conferences today and it described SPO’s requests for taking into custody VMRO-DPMNE’s leadership as a political effort for exerting pressure on the Appeal Court so it won’t cancel the decision for retention the passports that was a decision of a court of first instance.

-The decisions for retention of travel documents of part of the party’s leadership were made under pressure. That is evident from the explanations where there isn’t one single argument about its retention. The initial request was overruled since there is no danger of escaping the country i.e. the court has seen them as absurd, without any basis and as political doubts regarding SPO. The requests for measures of caution and securing the presence on part of SPO regarding VMRO-DPMNE’s leadership are without any legal backing, its aim is to create a material for SDS’ media that should present VMRO-DPMNE in a negative light in the eyes of the citizens in front of the forthcoming local elections – said Orce Gjorgjievski at the press conference in front of the Appeal Court.

At the press conference in front of SPO, Martin Kostovski accused that SPO is a tool for political banishment in the hands of SDSM against VMRO-DPMNE and its officials.

-Target and Fortress are one of the cases through which SPO had the task to completely twist the truth and to manipulate the citizens. Through these political show cases, SPO wanted to present that VMRO-DPMNE as a political party in power has been wiretapping itself which is an absurd and incorrect claim. Through the Fortress case, SPO has lied to the general public for an alleged damage in the amount of one million that was made during the destruction of an older surveillance equipment, which is a complete lie and shameless manipulation. Apparently, the destruction of the older surveillance equipment was made by obeying completely the previously determined legal enactments – said Kostovski and accused that “with its behavior, SPO has put itself on the list of inquisitors of the 21st century and that shall be evidenced in the dark pages of the legal science.”
