“Today’s allegations of Zaev and SDSM are extremely biased, untrue and completely manipulative. With this behavior, Zaev not only treads image of the country, but is also trying to draw public company of the People’s Republic of China, as well as other institutions that participate in these projects, in bad scenarios,” reads a statement of VMRO-DPMNE to today’s press conference of opposition leader Zoran Zaev, on which he published recordings, which, as he said, are proof how tenders were fixed and commissions from the government were agreed.
“Zoran Zaev and SDSM cannot reconcile with the fact that the ruling VMRO-DPMNE implements huge number of projects for the benefit of citizens as it is and highway sections that are built. SDSM and Zoran Zaev never built anything in this regard. They founded their policy, and we see that are still founding, on the manipulation and destructive act against the interests of the citizens. Just let them continue to do so. Citizens recognize their policy of manipulation, creating lies and fabrications,” reads the reaction of VMRO-DPMNE.
They also added that their projects completely deny the claims of SDSM and its leader and announced the implementation of new projects in the near future.
“Apart from three highways, a fourth one will be built. In April there will be a public call for the highway concessionaire between Kichevo and Gostivar, which would mean that around the New Year will begin construction of the new highway, which will be built in parallel with other highways. From August or September will begin construction of a new express route with 4 lanes between Shtip and Kochani and expansion in a similar express route between Gradsko and Prilep, and around New Year, Ohrid-Peshtani. Next year will begin construction of the express way with four strips from Rankovce to Kriva Palanka and the Bulgarian border, and the procedure for the construction of 4 lane express way from Shtip to Radovish,” say the ruling party.
