VMRO-DPMNE proposed two editors for MRTV, one from the ruling party and one from the opposition

VMRO-DPMNE proposed that the law for government and political advertising and a combined form for operations of MRTV, should be based on a Slovenian-German-Belgian model to regulate the media, and was discussed yesterday by working groups at the MPs Clubhouse “Meta” has learnt.
According to our information, Nikola Todorov, who heads the working group of the ruling party, proposed that financing MRTV should be conducted in two ways. One, is to be financed through the budget, and the second through a TV license fee. Also, VMRO-DPMNE proposed that the Council of MRTV remain the same, and 100 days before the election, the news program should be regulated by two editors, one from the ruling party and one from the opposition.

“The ruling party proposed that the Council of the Agency for Audio and Audio-Visual services should be composed of seven members, of which two members should be proposed by media associations such as the AJM and MAN, one of which should be from the national television. According to the proposal by the Government, members should be proposed by the Inter-University Academy, MANU (Macedonian Academy for Science and Art) and the Macedonian Bar Association”, sources from the working groups told our correspondents at “Meta”.
