VMRO-DPMNE: It is not true that there are no conditions for fair and democratic elections

VMRO-DPMNE believes that it is not true that there are no conditions for free and fair elections. The party assessed that the SDSM are not prepared for elections because the opposition know that they will lose, as they do not have popular support. According to the ruling party, the SDSM are willing to do everything to prolong the political crisis.
“The representatives from the US and the EU did not present any serious or credible arguments in favour of their thesis that the Republic of Macedonia is not ready for elections, it is clear that this estimate was based on a political decision, and not on facts. In recent days, we have been in intensive communication with them, on all levels, both political and technical, and we are convinced that there are no valid arguments for postponing the elections. That is why yesterday, we called the State Election Commission, the political parties and representatives from the international community for a public debate. That is why yesterday the SEC Chairman hid and avoided the meeting during the day, ” said the ruling party.
