VMRO-DPMNE left the discussion about Zvrlevski’s dismissal “since it was illegal”

-

The coordinator of VMRO-DPMNE’s MP group, Ilija Dimovski submitted a copy of State Committee for Corpution Prevention’s opinion which states that the Public Prosecutor cannot be dismissed until the local elections are over, on the 15th of October.

The opinion of the State Committee was read by Dimovski and he gave a copy to Parliament speaker Talat Xhaferi. Dimovski also said that VMRO-DPMNE’s and the coalition’s MPs will leave the session and will stop the discussion.

-Nine MPs have registered for a discussion but we shall not continue with the discussion, with remarks, with procedural notifications in order not to participate in this illegal procedure. Everything that is illegal is now on paper, and we shall not be a part of this – said Dimovski.

He also said that the MPs will participate in the discussion on any other session that will discuss the citizens’ existential issues.

The President of the Parliament replied that the State Committee for Preventing Corruption is unauthorized to address the Parliament and is disrupting the Rule book. He said that an organ that is approved by the Parliament cannot be its controller especially if it is addressing the Parliament illegally.

After he called upon the names of the MPs who registered to talk and since they left the session, Xhaferi stopped the discussion and said that “since the discussion list has been exhausted, he is stopping the session and will additionally inform about the continuation of the discussion upon this subject.”
