VMRO-DPMNE demands from SDSM to withdraw Xhaferi and not to seek a mandate for a government from Ivanov

-

The two political parties’ positions, according to their regular morning announcements, one day after the talks with the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Hoyt Brian yee, remain unchanged.

VMRO-DPMNE claims that SDSM’s precedent is opening a possibility in the future “for an illegal way of repeating this procedure and in such manner to vote for the bilinguality, the Albanian banknotes, bilingual uniforms, the genocide and all the elements of the Tirana platform.

SDSM stresses that after the election of the president of the Parliament, the parliamentary majority has a responsibility to form the new government and that is expected by the domestic and the foreign general public.

“Talat Xhaferi is the new president of the Parliament with whom, as was announced by Hoyt yee, USA, EU, NATO and official Berlin will work with. The new legitimate president of the Parliament will send a notification to Gjorge Ivanov that a legitimate democratic majority was formed and that Ivanov is obliged to grant the mandate to SDSM’s president, Zoran Zaev, for forming a government” said SDSM’s press release.
