VMRO-DPMNE calls on MANU to explain the agreement with Bulgaria

-

The opposition VMRO-DPMNE, in their regular morning press release called on the Macedonian Academy of Science and Art (MANU) to explain the good neighbourly relations agreement, which Prime Minister Zoran Zaev intends to sign with Bulgaria.

“MANU must make their position clear on the agreement Zaev intends to sign with Bulgaria. MANU’s silence on such essential issues opens up space for new attacks and underestimation. VMRO-DPMNE also urges the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to react, as the country’s reputation is at stake, as well as the highest scientific institution”, said the statement.

The party again stated that with less than a month before the signing of the agreement with Bulgaria, “the Macedonian people have no information about this agreement or what it contains.”

“The Macedonian people have the right to know what concessions were made by Zaev, because Bulgarian experts interpreted the agreement that it will put an end to Macedonianism, and not only was this attack not denied, but SDS led-institutions remain silent on the matter”, said VMRO-DPMNE.
