VMRO-DPMNE wants law on “Bombs” while SDSM wants to simply amend the Criminal Code

-

If at midnight an agreement is not reached the political parties in the working groups, SDSM were considering multiple scenarios, including the publication of new audio recordings of wire tapped conversations learns “Meta” from sources within the opposition.

They added that the main problem they have with VMRO-DPMNE is the law of the “bombs” and the law on Government. We learn that the VMRO-DPMNE required by law the “bombs” to include all materials and tapped and insisted on prison sentences for media representatives who publish them. SDSM were against this proposal and are attempting to change the Criminal Code to increase penalties for possession of wire tapped materials instead.

“Meta” learnt that the Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy, Johannes Hahn, insisted yesterday’s meeting only be on outstanding issues, for the Government, the Special Prosecutor and the intercepted material, to talk about other issues after these two issues are resolved. However, we learnt that VMRO-DPMNE did not accept this suggestion and eight to ten hours insisted on talking on this issue. At the end of the meeting, Commissioner Hahn reacted, and said in such conditions he can not give a recommendation for Macedonia’s European future and left the residence EU in Przhino.

Regarding the law on government, VMRO-DPMNE insisted that Deputy Ministers have the right of veto on all matters, while SDSM insists that the Deputy Ministers veto Can only relate to matters on the election.

Today, at 17 o’clock, the parties will once again try to and come together on their views on the outstanding issues.
