Government will waive VAT on humanitarian phone numbers

-

At the next session of the Government, a decision for the state to waive VAT on messages for donation for flooded areas will be adopted, say government sources for META news agency.

As META reported today, after opening the phone lines for the donation for the victims of the floods in Macedonia, the moral dilemma if it is justified to take charge VAT on money meant for charity was reopened. VAT Act does not provide for exemption from taxation in such humanitarian actions and it can only be decided by the Government.
