The President of Parliament Trajko Veljanoski, in his speech at an official ceremony on the occasion of October the 11th – a public holiday, the Day of Revolution, called for unification, national and state consensus, accountability and independence in solving problems.

“These political differences must vanish before important state issues, there is still a greater need in achieving the goal of integration into NATO and the European Union”, said the President of Parliament.

Mr Veljanoski, speaking about political challenges, said that we, ourselves need to our solve problems, adding that “we highly appreciate the assistance of our international friends in these times and we thank them for their involvement and support.”

“Macedonia has been created to be a state, not a protectorate. To resolve outstanding issues with our international friends together, so matters like these do not repeat in the future. To come out stronger and unique of this crisis! To strengthen the foundations of Macedonia and come out stronger and a more democratic country. Since we have already brought ourselves to a situation to require assistance from the International Community, we should use it to overcome our weaknesses. In this crisis we need to find a chance for Macedonia. A Chance – which will make us more democratic, more unique, more united and closer to NATO, the EU and the US”, Mr Veljanovski said, adding that Macedonia has the strength to overcome this political crisis.
