Various vehicles have blocked the boulevard in front of the court as the protest against SPO’s charges continues

-

Several citizens with their vehicles have blocked the Goce Delcev Boulevard in front of the Criminal Court in Skopje as a protest against the charges that were filed by the Special Public Prosecution. At the court were also filed requests for putting high-ranking VMRO-DPMNE officials into custody, including several ministers, among which is the party leader and former Prime Minister, Nikola Gruevski.

Otherwise, today expires the deadline of 24 hours during which the court has to make a decision upon the requests for custody and measures of caution against a part of the accused in the SPO’s cases.

In front of the court, the people aren’t shouting in protest as the protesters only seat in their vehicles and are blocking the boulevard, reports “A1 On” portal. A large presence of police security can be seen around the court.

Last night, around 300 citizens have gathered in front of the Criminal Court as a protest against the SPO’s charges and were shouting “Macedonia” and “This shall not pass.”
