I am hoping for a solution, but I am not optimistic, said the Belgian mediator Peter Vanhoutte before the MPs Clubhouse and the beginning of a meeting with the working groups from all parties signatory to the Przhino Agreement.
“We will discuss all proposals from all political parties, jourlaists’ associations and organizations. I’m aware that there is little time left, but we will give it our best so we can put an end to the matter”, stated Mr Vanhoutte.
At this afternoons meeting at the MP Clubhouse, the US Ambassador to Macedonia Jess Baily, and EU Ambassador Aivo Orav , will be putting on additional pressure to resolve the issue by Friday, which is the latest date provided for in the agreement for the media.
Currently, VMRO-DPMNE remains committed to undertake any European law and to be implement it into Macedonian legislation, while SDSM and AJM accept Vanhoutte’s proposal.
