The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has a strategic program that works and this is the second year of that program, announced today in Štip the Director of the Office for Development, Edward Gonzalez.
Director Gonzalez announced that USAID Macedonia has had a program for a few years now, that is works on strengthening the democratic processes in Macedonian society.
“USAID in Macedonia is directed and focused on providing assistance to civil society organizations in Macedonia, their involvement in democratic processes and identifying issues of interest to them and also finding solutions for them”, said Gonzales.
In this regard, the American organization for international development, actively works with several countries, ranging from civil society, government and private sector to jointly identify and solve problems.
“Therefore, in the upcoming months we are developing a new project in Macedonia that will involve actors on a national and a local level, in the context of the democratic processes”, said Gonzalez.
Today in Štip , in front of the non-government sector, institutions and interested citizens, there was a presentation of four components of the project for a civil participation which was carried out by the “East West Management institute” in a joint effort with four civil organizations – The foundation for internet and society “Metamorphosis,” Association for democratic initiative (ADI), “Open Society Foundation” – Macedonia and the National Youth Council of Macedonia (NMSM).
