The Embassy of the United States to Macedonia, expressed concern over the latest decision of President Gjorge Ivanov to stop all court procedures and cases against politicians in Macedonia.
“We are seeking further detail and clarification. The president’s statement however raises serious concerns about Macedonia’s commitment to the rule of law”, reads the statement from the US Embassy.
Ivanov, in his speech, explained that he came to the decision alone, because the Przhino Agreement had not given the desired results, and that the country is still in a political crisis that would not likely end in any upcoming elections.
