Around 5,600 refugees and immigrants arrived in Macedonia from Greece on Thursday. UNHCR say this number is double than the number of people arriving previous days.
“Yesterday, around 5,600 people entered Macedonia” said UNHCR Spokeswoman, Melissa Fleming.
According to figures from UNHCR, in the last few days between 2000 and 3000 people have entered Macedonia through Greece.
Most refugees are from the Middle East, they arrive in Macedonia through Greece, where they then go to Serbia. From there, they travel to Hungary and hope to gain entry into an EU COUNTRY where they can claim asylum.
