The corona virus took two young lives, persons aged 23 and 29 have succumbed to the virus. The Health Ministry informs that in the past 24 hours, 9 people have died of COVID-19: a patient from Kriva Palanka (aged 52), two patients from Gostivar (aged 60 and 62), one patient from Kumanovo (aged 60), one from Veles (aged 70), two patients from Skopje (aged 71 and 23), and two patients from Strumica (aged 29 and 44). 8 of them have died at a hospital and one patient from Strumica has died during the transportation to Skopje.
In the past 24 hours, 1.404 tests were performed and 98 newly infected with COVID-19 were diagnosed at the following cities: Skopje-50, Kumanovo-6, Shtip-4, Prilep-5, Tetovo-7, Struga-3, Bitola-4, Ohrid-2, Strumica-9, Delchevo 2 and in Kriva Palanka, Kochani, Berovo, Kichevo, Veles, and Gostivar each city has reported only one case.
The Public Health Institute has registered 104 recovered patients from the following cities: Skopje-46, Shtip-6, Prilep-8, Tetovo-9, Veles-1, Ohrid-3, Gevgelija-1, Strumica-2, Kriva Palanka-2, Kochani-2, Makedonski Brod-5, Pehchevo-4, Berovo-4, Vinica-2, Delchevo-6, Sveti Nikole-1 and Kichevo-2.
The total number of people diagnosed with COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic is 15.925, the number of recovered patients is 13.418. The death toll is 661, and at the moment the number of active cases in North Macedonia is 1.846.
So far, a total number of 167.760 COVID-19 tests were performed in North Macedonia. In the past 24 hours, 8 patients were received at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases. There are 82 patients hospitalized there, 40 patients are using oxygen help, and there aren’t any patients using mechanical ventilation.
At the Kozle hospital, there are 4 children and 5 mothers positive to COVID-19 and are hospitalized there, including 3 children and 3 mothers who are suspected of being infected. At the GH “8th of September” 6 patients were hospitalized in the past 24 hours, and the number of patients there is 33, while 2 patients are put on a ventilator.
At the hospital in Bitola, there are 16 patients, and in Stip, there are 47 patients. At the Infectious Departments in Tetovo, Ohrid, Veles, Kumanovo, Prilep, Gostivar, Strumica, and Struga, there are 149 hospitalized patients who are either positive or are suspected of being infected with COVID-19.
