A donation of 50.000 masks, 1000 protective bodysuits and 1000 Covid-19 tests arrived today from Turkey as a help to fight the pandemic. The aid is coordinated by NATO, said Foreign Affairs Minister Nikola Dimitrov.

„Though its aid system, NATO has a role of a coordination center between the requests and the needs of its member countries and those that can send help. Our first donation arrived from Norway, respiratory machines.” Dimitrov said.

he also said that with the aid arrived a letter from the Turkish President Erdogan, with messages of friendship and congratulations about Macedonia’s NATO accession.

The supplying of aid to allies that need it most is coordinated by the NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre EADRCC which coordinates the requests of countries with the offers for help by other member countries.
