Tsipras already thinks of himself as Prime Minister

-

A wave of changes and a new face on the political scene or playing safe and keeping the policy of older parties, this is the dilemma that will tomorrow be resolved by Greek citizens on the early parliamentary elections.
The parties completed the fierce electoral campaign that began a month ago. Last night, Antonis Samaras in Athens and Alexis Cipras in Crete addressed the people for the last time and made heavy criticism for one another, each with the hope that tomorrow will bring him closer to the Prime Minister position.
Recent surveys in the media confirmed the climate of strong national support and optimism that SYRIZA will take the helm of the country in order to put an end to the strict austerity policy of New Democracy and PASOK.
SYRIZA is in the lead with 6.7 percent before New Democracy in the last poll before the election which was announced by TV Mega last night. According to the poll, leftists have the support of 33.4 percent, New Democracy is behind it with 26.7 percent, and the third party is the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn with 5.1 percent. PASOK and Reka are on the fourth position and both have a support of 5 percent, Communist Party has a rating of 4.9 percent, while Independent Greeks has 3.5 percent. Party of George Papandreou is on the verge of entering the Parliament with the support of 2.9 percent.
These figures show the possibility of a new Parliament with 7 parties. Between Samaras and Tsipras, the respondents still give more confidence to Samaras, whose rating is 40.1 versus Tsipras, whose confidence is 38.6 percent. 9 percent of respondents identified themselves as undecided voters.
All polls indicate a clear victory for SYRIZA, but it is still unclear whether the party will succeed to secure an absolute majority in the last moment, and, if not, with whom they would negotiate coalition. The hope promised by Tsipras in the election campaign with the slogan “Hope comes” already prevails among most of them. Majority of citizens are optimistic that Tsipras will succeed in forming a government and make the governing of New Democracy just a bad dream. Even some of the media who traditionally support New Democracy and PASOK allowed survays with the great advantage of SYRIZA in the last few days and subtly withdrew titles which announced disaster in Greece if Tsipras comes to power.
– The die is cast. As of Monday, we will roll up our sleeves and take the difficult responsibility to return Greece to its feet – said Tsipras on Crete, who already thinks of himself as Prime Minister.
