Tsipras requires more assistance, facilitation and efficiency from the EU for the refugee crisis

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras criticized the European Union for the delay of resolving the refugee crisis.

“The EU moves at such a slow rhythm, even though their decisions are in the right place”, stressed Prime Minister Tsipras after the emergency EU summit in Brussels, commenting that the European Union faces an existential problem that must be solved through solidarity and cooperation.

The Greek Prime Minister requested that the EU provide greater assistance to countries dealing with  refugees, and by assistance, he means financial assistance. The opening of new shelters and centres for refugees, materials and technical aid. He also asks Turkey to take some responsibility and burden of the refugees which flow from the Turkish Islands straight onto the Greek islands.

Tsipras directly suggested that the EU should provide financial and fiscal incentives for each country that helps refugees from Syria and that are directly affected by the crisis.
