The price of electricity is reduced by 0.33 percent, the Energy Regulatory Commission decided today.
The calculation of the new price will start from tomorrow, meaning that citizens in August will get 0.33 percent lower electricity bills for July.
President of the Energy Regulatory Commission Dimitar Petrov emphasized reduced operating costs of companies, the revenues of the companies, as well as smaller amounts of energy to be sold as the main reason for the price reduction.
He informed that the companies did not agree with the decision to reduce the price, because, according to the methodology of calculation of the Regulatory Commission, not all types of costs of operations of companies are taken into account.
Petrov did not exclude the possibility of having a change in the methodology for calculating the price of electricity next year.
