Customs and Border Protection of Serbia urged travellers from Serbia due to the closure of Croatia’s border crossings to travel through the surrounding countries.
According to their information, vehicles with Serbian license plates can not be missed on the Croatian border crossings. Serbia appealed to passengers who have Serbian passports, to walk across the border or be transported in vehicles with foreign license plates. This way, they can enter the territory of Croatia.
“The blockade at the border crossing Batrovci has lasted a several days so far, causing a 15 km long column of vehicles. Many of them can not change direction and return, as determined by international transport licenses, which require them to move in the direction they came in”, said a statement by the authorities.
