For each possible problem while traveling, passengers are obliged to submit their complaints to the travel agency, so the agency can take the complaint into consideration and respond”, reacted today “Storia Travel” after “Meta” wrote articles looking into the alleged fraud over cheap flights which Macedonians living in the US and Australia were allegedly submitted to.
We wrote recently, that Macedonians living in the United States had cash taken from them with the promise of cheap flights to Skopje’s airport. The whole scam occurred during New Year celebrations for the Macedonian Diaspora. According to the migrants, who spoke to “Meta”, while celebrating Christmas, they were entertained by a singer, originally from Prilep, and she offered them cheap flights to Macedonia through the Austrian airline “Austrian Airlines”.
Some of them have already reported the case to the police.
However, the agency “Storia Travel” say that the folk singer Elena Jovcheski is employed with them, and works in the sales department and is the signatory of the bank account at the agency, where employees receive their salaries and is obliged to work in accordance with the law.
“Storia Travel” sent the following statement to “Meta”:
“We ask you to provide us with evidence that Elena Jovcheski gave statements through your portal and if this is true she will immediately be suspended from work, and all her powers will be taken away from her, and action will be taken in full accordance with the law”.
Elena Jovcevska singer claimed that she was betrayed by the owner of the agency.
“I worked with her because she asked me to and she is my first cousin. When I went to appearances and events, I offered tickets for air transport for Macedonians, and the money I received, I gave to her. What she did with the money, I do not know. I only know that I was cheated”, said Jovcevska.
