Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov on Friday evening, after returning from an official visit to Egypt, will summon the Security Council in its extended configuration.
At the session of the Security Council, those responsible for the Crisis Management System will brief the President and members of the Security Council on the threat of illegal migration, originating from European Union territory as well as the Schengen areas, as well as the probabilities of developing threats and increased risks.
Ivanov will convene the Security Council following yesterday’s incidents when 1,500 migrants illegally entered Macedonian territory through the southern border with Greece.
